Preah Thong Neang Neak

Preah Thong and Neang Neak (The King, namely Thong, the daughter of the Sea King) This statue 21-meter high, standing on a 6.43-meter throne in height, designed by Cambodian artist, facing the sea, representing the creation of the Khmer Empire, a civilization, culture, tradition, and custom.

In contemporary practice, the way Preah Thong holds Neang Neak’s scarf is also seen in Cambodian’s wedding ceremony, symbolizing the happiness and prosperity of new couples.
