The ministry said high temperatures could affect children, older people and those with chronic illnesses, requiring particular care. It advised drinking sufficient water, avoiding outdoor activities during intense daytime heat, wearing suitable clothing and resting in cool places. It also advised attention to food and drinking-water hygiene to prevent infectious diseases, regular attention to one’s health and seeking care at a health centre or hospital if unusual symptoms developed.
