Preah Sihanouk Province: On the afternoon of October 20, 2026, Brigadier General នូវ សំអុល, head of the provincial secretariat of the Cambodian Veterans Association, assigned Colonel ហេង សុវណ្ណ, deputy commander of the Preah Sihanouk Military Operation Area, to lead a secretariat team with local authorities to offer condolences and provide 4,000,000 riel in death benefits and a condolence letter to the family of ជួង នាម. The team represented provincial governor and honorary chairman of the provincial Veterans Association ម៉ាង ស៊ីណេត. The deceased was a 62-year-old male retired police officer whose family lives in ចាំស្រី village, Kampong Seila commune, Kampong Seila district, Preah Sihanouk province.
ជួង នាម died of illness on September 15, 2026.
The team also provided rice, instant noodles, canned fish, fish sauce, soy sauce and drinking water donated by Prime Minister Hun Manet and his wife, Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, to help ease the family’s difficulties during their bereavement.
