Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin posted a message on Facebook on the morning of October 29, 2026, warmly congratulating the King of Cambodia on the 22nd anniversary of his accession to the throne.
The ambassador said that since his accession, the King had made important contributions to Cambodia’s peace, stability, development and prosperity, as well as its international relations. He expressed firm confidence that, under the King’s benevolent protection, the capable and hardworking Cambodian people would continue to build an even brighter future for their country.
He added that the ironclad friendship between China and Cambodia, jointly forged and carefully nurtured by earlier generations of Chinese leaders and the late King Father Norodom Sihanouk, had stood the test of history and grown as solid as a rock. Under the strategic guidance of Chinese President Xi Jinping and the King of Cambodia, bilateral relations had entered a new stage of building an all-weather China–Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era. China was ready to work closely with Cambodia to effectively implement the important consensus reached by the two countries’ leaders, so that China–Cambodia friendship would take deep root in the hearts of both peoples and be passed on from generation to generation.
