Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, and Eli M. Remolona, Jr., Governor of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), co-chaired the annual bilateral meeting in Phnom Penh on October 30, 2026.
During the meeting, delegations from the two central banks discussed and exchanged views on macroeconomic and banking conditions, the development of cross-border payment systems, cybersecurity, public communication strategies, human resource management and cooperation between the two central banks.
The meeting also highly commended the progress of past cooperation, which has provided opportunities for specialist staff to strengthen their capacity in central banking work, including statistics and payment system connectivity.
