According to Cambodian media, the General Commissariat of the National Police confirmed that a bilateral meeting with the Royal Thai Police was scheduled for October 13, 2025, in Battambang province, focusing on cross-border crimes including online scams and human trafficking.
This would be the two police forces’ second formal meeting of the year. The meeting originally scheduled for September 26 was postponed because the Thai side could not attend. It followed their first meeting in Thailand’s Sa Kaeo province on September 16 and the consensus of the special General Border Committee (GBC) meeting on September 10.
The National Police said the meeting would develop more practical cooperation plans in priority areas such as cross-border online scams and human trafficking, to improve coordination between law enforcement agencies and safeguard border security and regional stability.
