Summary

FUCHS Gruppe outlined its 2026 plant plans and discussed farmer support, pest analysis and pesticide practices needed for export markets.

Germany-based FUCHS Gruppe has outlined plans to build a pepper-processing factory in Cambodia in 2026 for pepper bearing the Tboung Khmum brand (Trademarks). It currently buys Cambodian pepper for processing at factories in Germany. Andre Fich, Managing Director of DF World of Spices GMBH, FUCHS Gruppe’s parent company, disclosed the plans to Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Ministry Secretary of State Touch Bun Hour at a meeting at the ministry on November 28.

Touch Bun Hour outlined progress in Cambodia’s high-quality pepper cultivation and efforts to promote good agricultural practices (GAP). He encouraged the company’s delegation to consider offering farmers and agricultural communities free analysis of diseases and pests to reduce production costs and raise yields. He also advised the company to work with the ministry’s technical departments to inspect, monitor and evaluate proper pesticide use in line with importing countries’ requirements, particularly those of the European Union.

FUCHS did not reject the suggestions, expressing support for contributing to and strengthening cooperation in technical work and increased investment to support Cambodia’s pepper and spice products and exports to international markets. Both sides also discussed sustainable support for farmers and agricultural communities and conditions for exporting agricultural products to Europe, China and the United States.
