The same press release added that, while Cambodia’s brave soldiers were fighting to defend territorial integrity, the special ASEAN foreign ministers’ meeting on the current Cambodia–Thailand situation in Malaysia concluded with a special statement highlighting progress toward resuming implementation of the ceasefire and the Joint Declaration on Cambodia–Thailand Peace. The Interior Ministry expressed support for the ASEAN foreign ministers’ welcome for efforts to resume the ceasefire and end hostilities between the two countries.
