According to unofficial figures from the Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia, Cambodia exported more than 1 million tonnes of raw cashew nuts to international markets in 2025, generating revenue of approximately US$1.5 billion.
Export volume rose by about 27% compared with 2024, reflecting increased production and demand from international markets, particularly neighbouring countries.
Association President Uon Silot said Cambodia’s raw cashew production reached approximately 1.02 million tonnes in 2025 despite continuing challenges related to climate change.
He expressed optimism that raw cashew production would continue to show positive growth in 2026, citing expanded cultivation and farmers’ years of experience in growing and caring for cashew trees. Training support from the association helped farmers adapt to the ongoing changes in climate, he said.
The association added that raw cashew exports were most active in March and April, the main harvest season. Raw cashew prices in 2025 peaked in October at 8,000 riel per kilogramme, while the lowest price was about 5,000 riel per kilogramme in April.
According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Cambodia currently has about 700,000 hectares under cashew cultivation and can harvest between 800,000 and 1 million tonnes a year. Most Cambodian raw cashew exports go to Vietnam.
