To address problems faced by all workers and employees quickly and effectively, Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training spokesman Sun Mesa urged them to contact the ministry’s hotline 1286 whenever problems arise.
On January 10, Sun Mesa said: “When workers and employees have problems involving working conditions, labour law, rights violations or any verbal abuse, please contact the Ministry of Labour through hotline 1286, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
Once the ministry receives information or requests from workers and employees, it will immediately assign specialist officers to intervene, mediate and resolve the issues quickly, effectively, fairly and in accordance with the law in force, the spokesman added. He called on all workers and employees to avoid protests that do not follow procedures or block public roads while they have not yet contacted the ministry for help in resolving their problems.
The spokesman asked workers to trust the ministry’s mediation and resolution mechanism and leave their problems to specialist officers. He said the ministry always pays attention to workers’ and employees’ requests and problems, seeking to resolve them quickly and effectively.
