Cambodia and Singapore recorded trade worth US$2.341 billion in 2025, an increase of 88.97% over the corresponding period in 2024, when trade amounted to US$1.239 billion, according to a Ministry of Commerce report.
The report showed a sharp rise in Cambodian exports to Singapore, reaching US$920 million, up 212.23%. Imports from Singapore also grew strongly to US$1.421 billion, an increase of 50.51% over the same period a year earlier.
Cambodia Chamber of Commerce Vice-President Lim Heng said the increase in trade followed Cambodia’s border conflict with Thailand and its subsequent halt to fuel and gas imports from Thailand, after which it switched to importing oil from Singapore. Some equipment that Cambodia stopped importing from Thailand was also purchased from Singapore instead.
At the same time, Cambodia increased exports of various products to Singapore, including agricultural products and garments.
