The Stung Hav district administration in Sihanoukville province ordered the owner of BEACE HOUSE restaurant to immediately dismantle a bridge and other structures built without permission and encroaching into the sea.
According to a district administration letter dated January 14, 2026, its working team had already twice intervened to prohibit and suspend the work and require the removal of structures built into the sea without authorisation.
The bridge is six metres wide and 20 metres long. It and several recreational gazebos were built encroaching along the foreshore in Village 4, Otres commune, Stung Hav district, Sihanoukville province.
The district administration required the owner to arrange for removal of the structures no later than January 26, 2026. If the owner failed to cooperate and comply, the administration said it would take legal measures and carry out demolition directly. It stated that it would not accept responsibility for damage to the structures resulting from that action.
