The Ministry of Tourism announced a four-month visa exemption for Chinese tourists, running from June 15 to October 15, 2026.
According to a Tourism Ministry notice dated January 15, 2026, the exemption followed approval by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and applies to Chinese nationals holding passports of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
The ministry said the covered travellers include those from mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, excluding Taiwan. Whether arriving directly from China or any other country, holders of PRC passports entering Cambodia would receive the visa exemption and be permitted a 14-day stay during the four-month scheme. No visa application or visa fee would be required; travellers would simply complete the e-Arrival Card. During the scheme’s validity, Chinese tourists could enter Cambodia as many times as they wished.
