Summary

At Koh Kong’s annual work conference closing on January 17, Tea Seiha called for action against technology-related crime, stronger human-resource training and improvements to public services.

General Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence and head of the government working group for Koh Kong province, urged the provincial administration to focus on eliminating technology-related crime and training human resources. He said these efforts should help the province realise more of its potential, become safer and continue developing in the future.

He made the call while presiding over the closing of the Koh Kong provincial administration’s conference reviewing its 2025 work and setting directions for 2026 on January 17, 2026.

Tea Seiha emphasised that the provincial administration must strengthen human-resource training and development across all sectors, especially by advancing education and embracing digital technology to respond to changes in the modern economy. It must also firmly strengthen stability, peace and political security, take forceful measures to eliminate online gambling and technology-enabled fraud, and prevent the spread of false information that causes social disorder.

In addition, the provincial administration must continue improving land-management effectiveness, raise the quality of healthcare, and increase promotion of Koh Kong’s tourism potential to the world. It must ensure that services to citizens are prompt, transparent and free from discrimination, in order to build trust between the administration and the public.
