Phnom Penh gendarmerie carried out further successive raids on five sites secretly selling electronic devices for inhaling chemical substances on January 19, 2026. The sites were near Chbar Ampov pagoda on Street 357, Deum Sleng village, Chbar Ampov II sangkat, Chbar Ampov district; Village 10, Boeng Kak II sangkat, Tuol Kork; Boeng Salang village, Russey Keo sangkat and district; Damnak Thom I village, Stung Meanchey II sangkat, Meanchey; and Veal Vong sangkat, 7 Makara district.
Specialist personnel seized over 1,300 items of evidence, comprising 334 devices of various brands and 1,030 vaping heads of various brands. The five premises owners were detained and taken to Phnom Penh gendarmerie headquarters for legal procedures.
Previously, on January 15, Phnom Penh gendarmerie had also raided multiple sites secretly selling electronic devices for inhaling chemical substances and seized more than 300,000 items of evidence.
