In 2025, Cambodia exported nearly 15 million tonnes of crop products, up 27.83 percent from 2024, generating revenue estimated at over US$5 billion. The report said this showed production could meet domestic needs and ensure food security even amid tensions with Thailand.
According to the Agriculture Ministry, total crop-product exports were 14,910,480 tonnes in 2025, up 27.83 percent year on year. Paddy accounted for 6,859,930 tonnes, up 48.85 percent; milled rice for 940,321 tonnes, up 45.59 percent; and products other than paddy and milled rice for 7,110,229 tonnes.
The 2025 food balance for wet-season paddy remaining after exports and domestic consumption stood at 5,085,787 tonnes, equivalent to 3,254,904 tonnes of milled rice, still sufficient for domestic use and continued exports.
Agriculture Minister Dith Tina said in the report that 2025 crop-product exports had improved markedly, increasing 27.83 percent compared with 2024.
He added that production of paddy, milled rice, mixed crops, fruit trees, vegetables, fish and meat remained sufficient for domestic needs and food security despite what he described as Thai aggression, while agricultural exports continued normally.
