The Preah Sihanouk investment-promotion working group received incentive applications for 438 projects under the province's special investment-promotion programme for 2024. Of these, 436 investment projects with capital exceeding US$8 billion received letters of in-principle approval, Governor Mang Sineth said at Saturday morning's closing of the provincial administration's conference reviewing 2025 work and setting 2026 directions.
The governor said the 436 projects receiving government incentives could create approximately 55,124 jobs. Separately, the provincial investment subcommittee registered another 17 projects as qualified investment projects, with total investment of nearly US$37 million.
The special benefits under the 2024 Preah Sihanouk investment-promotion programme launched by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet have been extended to the end of 2027 to promote and support the province's development.
