On January 31, National Police Commissioner General Sar Thet said the nationwide campaign against telecommunications and online scams would continue under sustained pressure, with no end point set.
He called for continued checks and clearance of suspected scam locations, dealing with each site as it is discovered and leaving no room for such activity to survive. He warned operators, locations and personnel still involved to stop immediately.
He said the campaign aims to safeguard social order and people's lives and property. Police agencies at all levels were instructed to implement deployments, expand enforcement, remove the conditions enabling crime and send a firm signal to the public.
