On the afternoon of February 4, Sihanoukville police conducted a targeted operation at a rental property in Sangkat 4, dismantling a suspected drug-manufacturing and trafficking site and detaining nearly 50 Chinese and Vietnamese suspects. They seized several types of drugs, production equipment and large quantities of related chemical materials. Their preliminary assessment was that the premises were suspected of being used for drug manufacture and trafficking.
All suspects and seized evidence have been transferred to the Preah Sihanouk provincial police commissariat for legal handling. The case remains under further investigation, and law-enforcement authorities will release further details subsequently.
