Takeo’s provincial administration said in a February 13 notice that a compound suspected of telecom and online fraud in Bati district had already been sealed off and closed in accordance with the law on July 22, 2025, by the provincial joint anti-scam committee.
The roughly five-hectare site contained one warehouse, 13 buildings and 348 rooms. The buildings provided a large, concentrated operating space. The notice did not disclose how many people were involved and said the site had been fully sealed.
All buildings would be handed over to the Interior Ministry for case-related management and temporary detention of foreigners before deportation, under the General Department of Immigration’s management.
