The General Department of Immigration continued deportation measures involving 225 foreign nationals, including 38 women, in cases of illegal entry, residence without passports and unlawful employment. The report listed 13 nationality categories: China, Ghana, Kenya, Malaysia, Taiwan (China), Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Uganda, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
The deportations took place through the Techo International Airport border police checkpoint on February 17–18, 2026.
The department said continued deportations formed part of firm government legal measures against technology-enabled crime to protect people regionally and globally, without exceptions for organisers behind such activity.
Authorities also rescued people deceived by organisers into coming to work in technology-related scams, restoring their freedom and facilitating return to their countries. By: Pai Sokhim.
