On February 19, the Marshall Islands-flagged Seven Seas Explorer docked at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port with 1,276 people aboard, comprising 730 tourists and 546 crew. A one-day visit to Cambodia was planned before continuing to Vietnam. Deputy Governor Samut Sothearith represented the provincial administration at the welcome.

The report counted 512 women among the 730 tourists and listed 64 nationalities. The visitors had travelled from Thailand to explore tourism attractions along Cambodia’s coast. Operated by Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Seven Seas Explorer entered service in 2016 and has sailed in regions including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Asia and Alaska. The article described the vessel as an example of ultra-luxury cruising.

The report said this was the ninth international cruise-ship call at Sihanoukville in the first two months of 2026, bringing the reported cumulative number of foreign visitor arrivals to 10,074, and presented the figures as a sign of increasing coastal tourism appeal.
