Health Minister Professor Chheang Ra called on health leaders at every level and hospitals nationwide to continue working together to improve the quality and effectiveness of care in line with residents' practical needs.
The guidance was given at the February 2026 monthly meeting chaired by the minister on February 19. It reviewed progress and set further implementation directions to improve efficiency and quality.
The minister praised health leaders and staff for actively carrying out their duties and achieving continuing results in serving the public while ensuring that no one is left without treatment.
He urged further improvements in effective daily work and new health initiatives towards universal health coverage. He also called for close monitoring and prevention of recently spreading infectious diseases, particularly avian influenza, Nipah and others, to ensure timely and effective response preparedness.
Participants included senior Health Ministry leaders—secretaries of state, undersecretaries of state, advisers, directors-general and deputy directors-general, department heads and relevant units—as well as capital and provincial health department directors joining through Zoom. By KPS99TV.
