On February 19 and 20, 2026, Cambodian authorities took legal measures in cases involving foreigners entering illegally, staying without proper documentation and working unlawfully.
The General Department of Immigration’s investigation and enforcement unit continued deportations of 372 foreign nationals, including 54 women, across 18 nationality categories: China, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Uganda, the Philippines, Brazil, Norway, South Africa and Taiwan, China. They departed through the Techo International Airport border police checkpoint.
The report described the deportations as part of firm government legal measures to eliminate technology crime and protect people regionally and globally, without exceptions for organisers behind it.
Authorities also rescued victims deceived by organisers into coming to work in technology-related scams, restoring their freedom and facilitating return to their countries. By Pai Sokhim.
