Cambodia’s Interior Ministry instructed the Preah Vihear provincial administration to continue publicising and properly and transparently implementing measures to halt and invalidate all certificates confirming land possession within natural protected areas. Construction of physical infrastructure of every kind in protected areas must also comply with the Environment and Natural Resources Code.
The instruction followed an Environment Ministry letter concerning land occupation and forest clearing within Prey Lang Wildlife Sanctuary, in Chhaeb Lech village, Chhaeb Muoy commune, Chhaeb district, Preah Vihear province. By: Pai Sokhim.
