According to a post on his official page, Senate President Hun Sen, also chairman of the Supreme Privy Advisory Council to the King, commented on public debate over the Kun Khmer Boxing Federation’s notice banning two athletes from competition for six months while they were preparing to compete abroad.
He strongly requested that the federation consider temporarily withdrawing the notice, saying the issue concerned both national honour and the federation’s handling of internal affairs.
He said other matters should wait until the two athletes and the delegation returned to Cambodia, after which they could be discussed and resolved in a spirit of unity, understanding and respect for the common national interest.
The remarks encouraged a measured and responsible resolution to protect national sporting interests and Kun Khmer’s international honour. By: KPS99TV.
