Cambodia’s Environment Ministry said on February 27 that it had immediately sent specialists to inspect environmental quality at CAMBO UNISOLL LTD. after reports that several workers fainted and one died upon arrival at hospital. The factory is in Prey Chas village, Vihear Suor commune, Khsach Kandal district, Kandal province.
Ministry specialists were working with relevant authorities to test air quality, installing analytical equipment inside the factory. They were gathering information at the site to assess the causes of impacts on the environment and workers’ health.
