The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport issued a statement on March 6, 2026 about the posting and sharing of a short video on Facebook that it said seriously harmed the honour and dignity of a female contract teacher at a primary school in Pursat province.
The ministry described the filming and inappropriate language of a person who entered the school and disrupted teaching and pupils’ learning as a serious insult to public servants, particularly women teachers. It stressed that the ministry and the Cambodian government consistently value and respect all public servants and education personnel, especially women teachers, both permanent and contract staff.
