On March 5, 2026, Lao Tipseiha, head of the government working group supporting Kampong Som city, joined city and Ream sangkat teams to inspect streams and channels and the restoration of a drainage canal in Smach Daeng village, Ream sangkat, Kampong Som city, Preah Sihanouk province. The work aims to improve water flow and prevent blockages that could cause flooding in the rainy season.
Some channels had become shallow and narrow because of soil deposits. The team led by Lao Tipseiha inspected them and deployed machinery to dredge and widen them again. The report described the work as reflecting the leadership’s concern for local residents. Written by: Pai Sokhim
