Cambodian police raided two locations suspected of online fraud in Phnom Penh’s Chroy Changvar district on March 6, detaining more than 100 foreign nationals at the scene.

Officers said those detained came from several countries, including Pakistan, India and Indonesia. Police also seized a large quantity of equipment and tools alleged to have been used in the offences and took everyone involved in for investigation.

Phnom Penh Mayor Khuong Sreng said authorities would continue strengthening action against online fraud and transnational crime, planning tougher measures before mid-March 2026 and aiming to remove such illegal activities to protect the city’s security and image. The case remained under investigation.
