Amru Rice signed a six-month export agreement with Australia’s The Green Group covering around 400 tonnes of premium Cambodian fragrant jasmine rice for Australia, expanding the presence of Cambodian rice in international markets and major Australian supermarkets.
An Australian Embassy in Cambodia announcement dated March 6, 2026 said the new agreement allowed Amru Rice to export premium fragrant jasmine rice to The Green Group, one of Australia’s largest and most-established food wholesalers.
The announcement said the agreement ran from January to June 2026 and was expected to develop into long-term cooperation, bringing Cambodian rice to more major Australian supermarkets.
Australian Ambassador to Cambodia Derek Yip congratulated Amru Rice on the new commercial partnership. He said the deal reflected deepening Australia–Cambodia trade and gave Australian consumers more choices of high-quality Cambodian rice.
Song Saran said the partnership with The Green Group was an important milestone in Amru Rice’s expansion into Australia. He said the company was proud to supply premium Cambodian fragrant jasmine rice meeting international standards and reflecting its commitment to sustainable agriculture.
The Green Group Managing Director Nelson Green said successfully bringing food products to international markets required close cooperation between exporters and importers, describing its relationship with Amru Rice as a good example of a successful trading partnership.
The Australian Embassy said Australia–Cambodia trade had reached approximately US$1.2 billion, including around US$850 million in Cambodian exports to Australia.
