Stung Treng: To celebrate National Clean City Day 2026 and formally launch the Stung Treng Tourism Development Plan 2026–2030 and new brand, “Stung Treng, Beyond the River, Beyond the Ordinary”, Tourism Minister Huot Hak and Governor Sar Soputra presided over the opening of a 3.5-kilometre tourism parade on March 7, 2026, in a festive atmosphere.
The minister said the tourism event put into practice the motto “Tourism for All, All for Tourism”, advocated by Hun Sen, the former prime minister who was then serving as Cambodia’s Acting Head of State.
Huot Hak said tourism success should be measured not only by visitor numbers but also by local income generation and improved community livelihoods through innovative tourism services.
He said the event had become a platform for solidarity linking the provincial administration, private sector, tourism communities and residents—a win-win strategy benefiting everyone. He said Stung Treng would continue to develop rapidly as an important Cambodian tourism destination.
