On the evening of March 10, Cambodia’s Commerce Ministry issued a fuel-price notice setting the national retail price of regular petrol at about US$1.30, an increase of 18.18 percent from the previous price.
The listed diesel retail price was about US$1.51 per litre, up 17.48 percent.
The ministry said these prices covered a three-day period from midnight at the start of March 11 until March 13.
Mines and Energy Minister Keo Rottanak had recently said Cambodia was not yet experiencing a domestic fuel-supply shortage, although prices were rising and risks remained amid changes in the global situation. He called on society to use fuel and energy efficiently to help address potential uncertainty.
