On the morning of March 12, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Sokha and Ke Suon Sophy, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction Say Sam Al, who also heads the government working group for Preah Sihanouk, and Governor Mang Sineth attended the traditional blessing and groundbreaking for a new provincial police headquarters, in the presence of Nhem Sakhorn Sar Kheng. The site is along Santepheap Road in Village 3, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville.
The ceremony followed Cambodian tradition, with monks offering blessings for well-being and good fortune as construction began.
Sar Sokha also handed over five Toyota Hiace vehicles to the provincial police for daily security and public-order duties, intended to help serve residents, Cambodian and international visitors, and investors safely.
