The Occupational Medicine Department and National Labour Institute of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training organised a study visit on occupational safety and health management for national and subnational labour inspectors at the Occupational Safety and Health Training Centre (OSHTC) on 24–25 June 2026.
OSHTC specialists presented and demonstrated modern equipment and machinery for testing and practising the effectiveness of personal protective equipment, machinery safety and workplace-risk prevention.
Participants learned in particular about digital technology and virtual-reality equipment in safety and health training, which the report described as helping improve awareness and practical skills in Cambodia.
Alongside theory, participants practised fall protection, safety harnesses, helmets and footwear, electrical safety and other workplace-risk scenarios to improve inspection and worker-protection skills.
The visit was intended to enable inspectors to share their new knowledge and experience with enterprises, companies and factories and support a more effective and sustainable occupational safety and health culture.
