On Wednesday afternoon, September 2, 2026, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet paid tribute to the late Dr. Chan Sarun, a National Assembly member for Takeo province and former Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Chan Sarun died of age-related illness at 12:29 a.m. on August 31, 2026, aged 81.
Hun Manet expressed his deep sorrow and condolences to Madam Sok Keo and Chan Sarun’s family. His attendance also demonstrated his respect for Chan Sarun’s service as a former agriculture minister and a lawmaker representing Takeo province.
The Prime Minister prayed for Chan Sarun’s soul to rest in peace and again offered his heartfelt condolences to Madam Sok Keo and the family over their profound loss.
