Kampong Chhnang Agriculture Team Inspects and Evaluates Drought-Damaged Rice Fields

On September 3, 2026, the Agriculture Department of Kampong Chhnang Province, led by Mr. Heng Kimsreng, Deputy Director of the Department, conducted a joint inspection and assessment with officials from the Department of Agricultural Statistics, the Department of Agricultural Community Development, and the Department of Finance, along with local agricultural officials from Svay Commune, Tuek Khleang Commune, Svay Chuk Commune, Pram Commune, Chhan Lean Commune, and Kramoung Leu Commune, to examine and evaluate the extent of damage to rice fields affected by the severe drought crisis.

The community inspection was carried out to assess the area of rice fields currently impacted and facing damage due to the dry spell caused by the El Niño phenomenon across the country, aiming to find solutions and provide timely assistance to affected farmers. By: Pais Sokhim
