Kampong Speu Governor Cheam Chansophorn said about 42 Chinese companies from various industries had expressed plans to make substantial investments in the province in the future. He made the remarks after leading a provincial delegation to meet representatives of 42 Chinese companies and enterprises in Nanning, China, on September 18, 2026.
The governor said the provincial delegation had met representatives of 42 companies and enterprises, presenting the province’s diverse opportunities and the large number of investors already doing business there. All the representatives promised to visit, explore opportunities and invest in Kampong Speu soon.
He added that the 42 companies and enterprises interested in investing in Kampong Speu focused on nine sectors: 1. agriculture and agricultural processing; 2. industry and manufacturing; 3. construction and construction materials; 4. tourism and culture; 5. investment and trade; 6. technology and digital development; 7. mining; 8. logistics and transport; and 9. new energy and the environment.
