Cambodian authorities decided to deport 164 Chinese nationals, including one woman, by special flight through the border police checkpoint at Techo International Airport. The General Department of Immigration announced the decision on its official Facebook page on the evening of September 20, 2026.
The Department of Investigation and Procedure Implementation took legal action after an investigation indicated that the suspects had entered Cambodia illegally, stayed and worked without permission, and were involved in drug use and unlawful online scams in the country.
The action reflects the implementation of firm instructions from Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, who has stated that Cambodia will not allow criminals or wrongdoers to use its territory as a base for scams or to create insecurity in the region and the world. By: Srey Pi
