Cambodia Launches Websites for Capital and Provincial Information Departments
The information and telecommunications ministries launched the new local information websites on September 21, 2026, to expand digital news distribution.
His Excellency Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information, and His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, on the morning of September 21, 2026, presided over the official launch ceremony of the Capital-Provincial Department of Information websites. The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.
The ceremony was attended by leaders of both ministries, spokespersons of ministries-institutions, heads of the Capital-Provincial Departments of Information, and representatives of the Capital-Provincial Administration. In addition, representatives from the Journalism Association, Television Association, and Radio Association—all stakeholders in the information and media sector—also participated.
The launch of the Capital-Provincial Department of Information websites promotes the use of digital technology for disseminating information at the sub-national level. This system will enable the Capital-Provincial Departments of Information to disseminate news and activities to the public online more easily and comprehensively. By: Penh Sopheak
