Canadian Warship HMCS Regina Docks at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port to Strengthen Navy Cooperation

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on September 22, 2026, the Canadian Navy warship HMCS Regina (FFH-334) safely docked at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port during a visit to Cambodia.

The welcome ceremony for the Canadian warship was attended by Rear Admiral In Sokemara, Deputy Commander of Ream Naval Base, and representatives of the Canadian Embassy in Cambodia, along with relevant officials.

The visit aims to strengthen cooperation between the Royal Cambodian Navy and the Royal Canadian Navy through the exchange of experiences, joint exercises, and cultural and friendship activities.

During their stay in Cambodia, the Canadian warship delegation will pay courtesy calls on the leadership of Sihanoukville Province, Ream Naval Base units, Royal Cambodian Navy leadership, and relevant officials in Phnom Penh. The program also includes friendly matches and experience-sharing exercises with the Cambodian forces.

HMCS Regina (FFH-334) is scheduled to remain at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port from September 22 to 24, 2026.

The ship is commanded by Captain(N) Darren Sleen.

HMCS Regina 334 is a Halifax-class Frigate measuring 134.2 meters in length, 16.5 meters in beam, 7.1 meters in draft, and a displacement of approximately 4,795 tonnes, with a crew of about 255.

At the same time, relevant security forces have also been deployed to ensure security and maintain public order along the roads during the Canadian warship's visit to Sihanoukville Province.
