Hun Manet inspects flood situation, checks on residents in Banteay Meanchey

On September 28, 2026, Samdech Thipedei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, went to inspect the flood situation in person and to check on the well-being of residents affected by flooding in Banteay Meanchey province. The inspection was carried out to understand the actual situation and the ongoing impact on people in the area.
During the field visit, Samdech Thipedei Hun Manet was accompanied by Mr. Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture; the Governor of Banteay Meanchey province; the Governor of Battambang province; and other relevant officials. The field visit comes as more than 3,000 families in Banteay Meanchey province have been affected by flooding, with over 1,400 families evacuated to safe places.

At the same time, from September 8 to September 27, 2026, flooding has affected a total of 44,889 families across 10 provinces nationwide. The situation has made monitoring and attention to affected residents a key task in flood-stricken areas.
