On September 30, 2026, a delegation from Cambodia's Ministry of Inspection, led by His Excellency Sok Soken, Minister of Inspection, paid an official visit and held a courtesy meeting with His Excellency Nguyễn Công Vinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The meaningful meeting was also attended by Mr. Phạm Văn Nghì, Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate, and Mr. Lon Bunvath (លន់ ប៊ុនវឌ្ឍន៍), Consul General of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as leaders and specialized officials from both institutions. This is according to the Ministry of Information's release dated October 1, 2026.
On the occasion, His Excellency the Minister highlighted the close friendship and cooperation between the two countries, which has been firmly maintained across all sectors, in line with the spirit of "good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stability." At the same time, His Excellency pointed to the implementation of the "Pentagonal Strategy-Phase 1" of the Royal Government of Cambodia, under the leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, which places high priority on "reform and strengthening governance."
In conclusion, His Excellency the Minister emphasized the importance of exchanging local inspection work experiences, urging increased cooperation between Cambodia's capital-provincial inspection departments and Vietnam's provincial-municipal inspectorates, especially in border provinces, to enhance work efficiency and strengthen bilateral friendship. Afterward, the Cambodian delegation attended a dinner hosted by His Excellency the Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, in a most cordial and warm atmosphere. By: Srey Pi
