Prime Minister Hun Manet: "I want to make one thing clear — whichever party, whatever trend, the armed forces belong to the nation and defend national territory. If you do not love the government or the Cambodian People’s Party, go ahead and criticize anything else, but do not undermine the morale of the troops."
Prime Minister Hun Manet, called on all parties to clearly understand that the armed forces are a force of the nation and are not the property of any political party. Hun Manet stated that regardless of any political trend or lack of support for the Royal Government and the Cambodian People’s Party, one may express criticism on various issues, but please do not attack or undermine the morale of the troops who are carrying out their mission of defending national territory.
Hun Manet highlighted the heroism and sacrifices of the Cambodian armed forces currently stationed on duty in border areas, facing hardship and continuing to defend sovereignty, territorial integrity and the safety of the people. This service is regarded as a demonstration of a sense of responsibility and sacrifice for the national interest.
At the same time, Hun Manet stressed that political criticism and support for the nation’s defense forces should be clearly distinguished. No matter how opinions or political trends differ, the armed forces remain a national force with the duty of defending national territory. Therefore, we should unite in encouraging and respecting the sacrifices of the heroic soldiers who are carrying out the mission of defending the homeland.
