Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, received a high-level delegation from the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), Cambodia Branch, led by Mr. To Huy Vu, Chairman of the Board of Directors, for a courtesy and working meeting on October 9, 2026, at the National Bank of Cambodia.
At the outset, Mr. To Huy Vu reported on the bank's operational progress and its commitment to continuing business expansion in Cambodia, and underscored the opportunities to further strengthen economic ties and financial cooperation amid the ongoing growth in bilateral Cambodia–Vietnam trade. He also highlighted the potential of Agribank's customer network as a contributing factor in connecting Vietnamese investors to Cambodia to further promote investment, trade, and cooperation opportunities.
In response, the Governor welcomed the commitment to continue expanding operations in Cambodia and underscored the importance of the banking sector in supporting trade, investment, and production. The Governor also emphasized the importance of the cross-border QR Code payment system between the two countries in facilitating payments, promoting trade, and the use of the national currency.
