Recently, the Cambodian Commercial Gaming Management Committee (CGMC), together with relevant departments in Svay Rieng Province, conducted on-site inspections and quality assessments of two casinos in Bavet City. The review focused on technical conditions at operating premises, safety management, public order, service quality and compliance with laws and regulations.

On the morning of that day, the joint working group first inspected Win Win Casino. The deputy governor of Svay Rieng Province, acting on behalf of the governor, held a work meeting with the head of the gaming regulatory department and representatives of relevant agencies before leading the delegation into the casino for the inspection. Participants included representatives from the judiciary, police, local government and relevant technical departments.
That afternoon, the working group visited Le Macau Casino and conducted an inspection using the same standards, assessing whether the casino's operations complied with Cambodia's existing laws and regulations and relevant management requirements. The relevant department said the operation was intended to strengthen oversight of the gaming industry, improve transparency and accountability in casino operations, and further regulate industry order.
Notably, Win Win Casino had also been inspected previously. On September 3 this year, a joint working team from Svay Rieng Province conducted administrative inspections and searches of the casino and other suspected locations in Bavet City. However, information released on October 20 did not determine that either casino had engaged in illegal conduct, nor did it announce the suspension or revocation of their licenses.
The operation comes as Cambodia strengthens casino oversight nationwide. In early October, the relevant departments decided to conduct cross-agency joint inspections in 16 provinces and cities with licensed casinos, focusing on illegal activities such as online gambling and online scams carried out through casinos. As regulatory operations continue, operational standards and safety management in Cambodia's gaming industry are receiving further attention.
