Preah Sihanouk province: On the morning of October 28, 2026, the Sihanoukville city administration held a ceremony to hand over approximately 600 illegal slot machines seized during an inspection operation by the provincial administration’s gambling-control department at locations in the city, including inns and shops.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of Mang Sineth, Governor of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration, and was attended by Chea Man, Sihanoukville Deputy Governor, and relevant officials.
The inspection and seizure operation was carried out from January 5 to October 2, 2026, in accordance with Royal Decree No. 02 on the Control of Security at Residential Areas and Annexes, and Royal Decree No. 01 on the Suppression of Online Scams.
Under the direction of Chea Sutra, Deputy Governor and First Deputy Chief of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration, and the Ad Hoc Committee for Sihanoukville City Administration, the inspection continued at targeted locations, finding and seizing approximately 600 illegal slot machines for safekeeping at the Sihanoukville provincial administrative office ahead of the destruction ceremony that day.
