Cambodia has recently continued to expand its air connections with China and South Korea. The launch of new routes and increases in flight frequencies are making travel more convenient while creating more opportunities for trade and tourism cooperation.

The flight network to China is continuing to expand. China Eastern Airlines has increased its Kunming–Siem Reap route to four flights per week, while Cambodia National Airlines plans to increase its Phnom Penh–Nanning flights to three per week starting October 29. Cambodia Airways also plans to launch direct flights between Guangzhou and Siem Reap on November 17, with three services per week. The additional direct-flight options will make it easier for Chinese travelers to visit Angkor’s historic sites and will also benefit business travel, family visits and cultural exchanges.

For South Korea, Hana Tour announced that it will cooperate with Trinity Airways to operate seasonal direct charter flights from Incheon to Siem Reap this winter. Meanwhile, Cambodia is also working to expand its China–South Korea routes and planning to increase flights linking Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville with Chinese cities.

Improved air connections are expected to make it easier for travelers to move between Cambodia’s major cities and tourist destinations, while also supporting trade in goods, investment and the movement of business travelers. Cambodia is strengthening its international transport network by expanding routes, increasing flight frequencies and enhancing aviation cooperation, with the aim of promoting tourism and regional trade and economic exchanges.
