The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested a man in Oklahoma City on allegations that he sent hundreds of letters containing suspicious white powder to public officials across the United States during the 2024 and 2026 election seasons, according to Fox News.
The suspicious letters were sent to more than 100 locations, including secretaries of state’s offices and numerous election offices, before the 2026 midterm elections.
However, according to test results described in case documents filed on November 1, 2026, no hazardous substances had been detected in the powders examined. Authorities had previously warned recipients to exercise caution with such white powders, which could potentially be highly hazardous.
During the 2024 election cycle, election offices in at least 15 states reported receiving or being targeted by suspicious letters. Case documents filed on November 1, 2026, stated that not all letters had been intercepted or fully tested at that time. By: Rithy.
