On November 5, 2026, Tourism Minister Huot Hak led a team to inspect preparations and the installation of national pavilions, exhibition and food stalls, a stage for varied artistic performances, and spaces for conferences and multipurpose seminars at the Francophonie Village. Construction was proceeding as planned, with the team paying close attention to quality, appearance, safety and order in preparation for welcoming national and international visitors.

The Francophonie Village will take place from November 13 to 17, 2026, at Wat Botum Vatey Garden in Phnom Penh as a side event of the 20th Francophonie Summit.
Only 10 days remain until the 20th Francophonie Summit. Cambodia will host the summit and related events in Phnom Penh from November 14 to 16, 2026.

Earlier that morning, Prime Minister Hun Manet asked citizens to take pride in their small country playing an equal role alongside other nations in organising the 20th Francophonie Summit, which will bring together heads of state and government from French-speaking countries around the world. He said the leaders’ presence in Cambodia reflects their confidence in the country’s peace and security.
